Current Contenders
Temple's Pete's
Dragon:

"Elliott" was born on 2/6/07, sired by CH. Temple's
the Color of Money ("Gold") and out of CH Temple's
Beauty and the Beast ("Belle"). He was out of the
second and last litter Belle was able to produce.
Elliott is lovely, with a beautiful head and very
nice movement. He's a loving boy at home, VERY
intelligent... and very headstrong and independent,
especially in the ring. We are currently
pursuing a new show home for Elliott with someone
who has more experience & training in obedience,
agility, etc. If you think you might know of (or
be) Elliott's perfect show home, let me know.

PSA
& Temple's The Quiet Man:

"Duke" came to our house from my friend, Sandie
Altman in New Ulm, Minnesota. His grandmother
was one of mine, Temple's Pocahontas, and was
bred with Sandie's beautiful Josh to produce
Duke's mama, who was then bred to Elton, another
of Sandie's lovely boys, to result in Duke. We
met Duke at the Waukesha show in 2007, and
couldn't stop looking at him... sooooo....
He is a cuddler and a lap baby, with a lovely
head, incredible top line, and one of the most
level, even-keeled dispositions we have seen in
Chihuahuas. Duke is pictured here taking BOV
for his first major at the Terre Haute. (Thank
you, Judge Stephen Hurt!) Our girl "Rosie" (CH
Temple's African Queen) has just whelped his
first four puppies, and we have great hopes
for this boy and his offspring.

Webb's Nice Dreams:

"Chong" is a grandson of our "Cheech" (of
course... ;-) Amber & Roger Webb now own Cheech
and our April, and bred one of their daughters,
June (Temple & Webb's Walk the Line) to their CH
Temple N Webb's Time Enough For Love
("Lazarus"). Roger & Amber decided that they
couldn't handle another boy, and let it be known
that Chong was available to a good show home...
and fortunately, they decided I qualified,
because I just fell in love with this boy.
Solid, wonderful conformation, great movement,
and a head that just gets prettier by the day.
Of course, he's bright & quirky, but what do you
expect when you name a dog "Chong" whose
grandfather was our "Cheech"? ;-) Stay tuned
- I think he'll do us proud!!

"Temple's Mister
Roberts"

"Born on
1/18/07, Hank is Kane and Reese's son. He is shown
here as Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes at
the Waukesha Chihuahua Specialty, his first show at
barely age six months old. Hank and his brother Blue
have the sweetest dispositions, and trotted along on
leads on the very first try (forcing me to ask the
question: "Okay, you can't be Chihuahuas; what are you
REALLY?") Hank has gone to be owned and loved by
Jeannie Sherman of Indianapolis, where we hope he will
do great things in the future!" |

"Tip
& Temple's Brave Little Taylor ("Mickey")"

"Son of
our beloved Willie (Temple's Steamboat Willie PSA),
and of Holly's sweet Windsong's Jolene, Mickey is
just love with a little fur wrapped around it. We
have great hopes that his sweet and happy winning
personality will translate into big wins in the show
ring, and lovely puppies to continue the legacy!!
"Shown here
asleep after his strenuous debut at the CCA puppy
match, Mickey seemed oblivious to his great first
achievements!"

"Temple's
The Caine Mutiny"

"Born on 1/18/07,
Blue is Kane and Reese's son. He is shown here
relaxing in his
native environment - the kitchen. Blue and his
brother Hank have the sweetest dispositions, and
trotted along on leads on the very first try. Blue
has his father Kane's lovely face, and was shown by
Jim Lehman in Chicago, finishing 4th in a huge puppy
sweepstakes class. Jill Hopper from San Diego,
California, saw Blue in Chicago, and fell in love,
so Blue is now owned and loved by her. She plans to
finish his championship and special him - we will
cheer them on and pray that he does great things for
her!"

"Temple's Juan Carlos Por
Emma"

"Emma Cusson of
Indianapolis wanted a smooth coat black and white male
to show. When Tick and Kane had 4 pups, and 3 were
girls, but ALL had white with black & tan markings.
So I told her we'd have to see whether he was a smooth
coat like his mama Tick, or a long coat like his sire,
Kane. As luck would have it, he was the only smooth
coat in the litter, and all of his other parts came
together pretty well, so he became Emma's boy. By
the way, Emma and her husband John are the founders and
owners of "Silly Safaris" - check out this great group
at
www.sillysafaris.com We hope little Carlos will
make Emma and John VERY proud!!" |
Temple's He Got Game
("Denzel")

Trisha Nippe
showing her boy, "Temple's He Got Game", better
known as Denzel, to their first points together
- a Best of Winners at Terre Haute for two. I
have a feeling that these two are going to be a
great team!!

TIP'S BOOM BABY
("Reggie")

OK, OK, so he
should be in a category called "Future Contenders"!!
Reggie is a Gold son, bred by Holly Sciscoe - her Mazzy
is his mother, and she is a wonderful girl. We have
great hopes for this boy!
I got to show Reggie at the National Chihuahua Club of America Specialty, and
was proud that he placed 4th in Open Class. |
