Current Contenders

Tip's Say Boom Baby!  ("Reggie")

Reggie is a Gold son, bred by Holly Sciscoe - her Mazzy is his mother, a wonderful girl.  Holly is obviously a Pacers fan.  This Reggie loves to show off, too.  I love these dogs that make me look like a good handler. All you have to do is chant "Reggie, Reggie, Reggie" and he perks up and poses.  He flies around the ring, a very happy boy.  One more point and this boy will be a champion.

Webb's Nice Dreams ("Chong")

"Chong" is a grandson of our "Cheech" (of course... ;-)  Amber & Roger Webb bred Chong out of some of our favorite dogs, & when by the time that they decided to let Chong go to a show home, I had just fallen in love with this boy.   Solid, wonderful conformation, great movement, and a head that just gets prettier by the day.   Of course, he's bright & quirky, but what do you expect when you name a dog "Chong" whose grandfather was our "Cheech"?  ;-)   Jeanne Sherman is showing Chong for me, and the way he focuses on her shows how they adore each other.  He is shown here on his first win with Jeannie - he has continued to mature and fill out.  Just 4 more singles and he'll be a champion.   Thanks, Jeanne!!

TEMPLE'S STRING OF PEARL'S  ("Miki")

Miki's AKC name above was given to her by Liz Bliss.  (See the great photo of Liz & Miki under the heading "Cute Puppy Pictures"!!)   Liz is one of our "grand ladies" of Chihuahuas.   I told Liz that our Pearl (CH Windsong Temples Black Pearl) was in the pup's pedigree twice.   Liz looked up and immediately quipped "Well, you'll have to name her 'String of Pearl's!' "   Well, okay, but what to call her?   I already HAD a Pearl?!?   So...  I named her Mikimoto, of course - after the world's finest cultured pearls.

Miki's sire is Gloria & Art Johnson's boy, CH Ayrwen Thunderstruck, and her dam is my CH Temple's Some Like It Hot ("Sugar").   Miki was born on August 19, 2008, as the sole puppy in the litter.   Guess she was a great pick of the litter anyway!!    Miki is presently being shown by Jim Lehman, handler.

"Temple's Juan Carlos Por Emma"

"Emma Cusson of Indianapolis wanted a smooth coat black and white male to show.   When Tick and Kane had 4 pups, and 3 were girls, but ALL had white with black & tan markings.  So I told her we'd have to see whether he was a smooth coat like his mama Tick, or a long coat like his sire, Kane.   As luck would have it, he was the only smooth coat in the litter, and all of his other parts came together pretty well, so he became Emma's boy.  By the way, Emma and her husband John are the founders and owners of "Silly Safaris" - check out this great group at www.sillysafaris.com    We hope little Carlos will make Emma and John VERY proud!!"

Temple's He Got Game ("Denzel")

Trisha Nippe showing her boy, "Temple's He Got Game", better known as Denzel, to their first points together - a Best of Winners at Terre Haute for two.   I have a feeling that these two are going to be a great team!!
